After 25 years of being diabetic and not having had, for example, a slice
of pizza in that time, you leard to pappreciate many of these
substitutions. It contributes to a feeling of not being "poor little
deprived me." In addition, I love playing the game of "fooling" the
diaetes wich keeps telling me "You can't have THAT!" and then I can say
Nyah, Nyah to the diabetes as I sit and eat my low carb cheesecake, or
parev chocolate mousse, or spaghetti squash with sauce adn cheese or my
string beans with beef Italian hot sausage adn marinara sauce. Taking it
in this manner helps with all kinds of issues adn leads to a nice, varied
diet. To a large extent this has been my food philosophy with diabetes
for a long time adn it works for me.

Hmm, I wonder if I could use that spaghetti squash to make Asian style
sesame noodles. I must try that!
