Two nights ago, I forgot to take my meds. I assume this is why I felt sick
to my stomach all day yesterday.

My gardener came and discovered at least two leaks in the water pipe that
runs to the main line. I had this repaired once, maybe two years ago.

The plumber who came said the repair to the driveway was not done properly
and this in and of itself could have caused the leak, but there is also old
age to the PVC pipe that is out there. So he needs to replace the entire
pipe with copper and that will take 4 to 5 days. Very costly repair and
then the driveway will need to be replaced. Another costly repair but he
said it could wait till summer.

Did you check out the plumber on the internet?
Something doesn't sound right. I've never heard of using copper pipe
outside in the dirt - under the driveway? Really old houses used metal
galvanized pipe and newer ones plastic for main lines, and not PVC
plastic.

Copper water service is the gold standard. Galvanized is no longer permitted
for new installations under any codes I'm aware of. Plastic is much cheaper
and well installed should last almost forever. Under a driveway or street
it needs to be deeper than is usual for any given part of the country. The
frost line is pushed down by vehicles rolling above the pipe.

Work was supposed to start this morning but we got 8 inches of snow last
night so they will come tomorrow.

Meanwhile for a time yesterday the water was shut off. Of course I got sick
then. Bleh!

Then I think last night the stress of the whole day led me to forget the
pills again last night even though I was counting the hours until I could
take the pills. Night is when I take the Metoclopramide and that helps me
digest my food.

So now today I just don't even feel like eating at all. But on the plus
side, my BG was 104 before bed and amazingly I woke to 126. Just forced
myself to eat a small amount of cereal and for dinner will have chicken and
rice. And then... I HAVE to remember to take my pills tonight!
