Re: Lisinopril?

Ellen, My doc started me out on a higher dose & it was too much for me as it
reduced my B/P too much. He settled on 2.5mg & that is fine.

I wanted to start with the smallest dose to see if I would get enough of a
reduction with that. I feel fine about where my BP is now. If it were to
go up I would be OK with increasing the dose. What I wanted to avoid was
taking more than NECESSARY; I guess that's my tipping point right there. :)

I take 5 mg daily for high blood pressure. The reason the dose is so
small
is that I told the doctor who prescribed it for me that I would only
agree
to take it if she prescribed the smalled possible dose.

Does that mean that if your bp starts not being so nice you still
wouldn't
up the dose?

What's your tipping point on the risks (even if rare) of a medication vs.
the risks of not taking it?
