Dec. 1, 2010 -- Diabetes cuts about 8.5 years off the life span of the
average 50-year-old compared to a 50-year-old without diabetes, new
research indicates.

Note that the referenced article does not delin-
eate life expectancies by type of High Glucose
Condition, and most of the article pertains to
the High Glucose Condition of Cellosis, aka
type 2 diabetes. No mention of type 1 diabetes,
aka Insulinitis, is presented in the article.

New? Researchers have been claiming that crap for decades. If any of
those predictions were true I'd be dead now going on 15 to 20 years.

Don't know how old you are, but based on
the current statistical data in the U.S., and
on the reduction in life expectancy for per-
sons with Insulinitis (mentioned below), the
life expectancy for a person with Insulinitis
(and no other adverse medical problems)
is 70 to 73 years.

Life expectancy is a statistical average, and
persons live longer and shorter than average.

Life spans are the life expectancy which is the
expected (in the statistical sense) number of
years of life remaining at a given age. Current
worldwide life expectancy is 67 years, though
it varies widely based on country, ethnicity, sex,
and type or types of medical conditions one has.
Currently, life expectancy in the U.S. is 78 years.
Refer to the following map for life expectancies
worldwide:

People are not numbers, they are individuals.
