I ordered two pairs of glasses, one set of bifocals and one set of
sunglasses. Totaled just over 1400.00 U$D. My share after insurance
just under 300.00. My cost after insurance for the Ophthal's exam
0.00.
Why would two pairs of glasses cost $1400??????? I just paid $99 for my
new distance pair (I am nearsighted and have astigmatism). For my reading
glasses I'm just going to have new lenses put in the old frames, which will
cost $69.
Apples and oranges. Mack's glasses are bifocals. And then there's
multi-focals, the glasses themselves can have all kind of totally
different quality, etc., etc., etc., ad infinitum.
My two sets of glasses/frames were some $2000, all out of pocket, and
worth every Euro. Those of SWMBO were even more expensive. My (97-yo)
mother's were $1200.
