Re: False Claim about Drinking four glasses of water

Ah, I see. Thanks.

I'm not going to get into a side discussion on this, but I did attend a lecture a few years ago by a PhD who reconciled the Biblical age of the earth with the scientific age by means of the theory of relativity and the fact that the universe is expanding. He went through all the math and everything tied.

Your second point is interesting to me in that I have always thought that if the message of Jesus helps those who follow the message be better people, that should be enough for the religion to be valid, there is no necessity for the insistence on supercession etc.

Again, I'm not going to get into a theological discussion here. If others wish to fight amongst themselves that will be their decision.

Budd linked to it, on truthingenesis.

Creationist to scientist: "Here's a PhD that says he can reconcile (?size
of the universe? I forgot) with young-earth faith". Scientist falls on
the floor laughing.
This is supposed to show how scientists have closed minds and will not
listen.

Skeptic magazine here says, "there's a difference between having an open
mind and a hole in your head".

What bugs me especially about this is that there is absolutely no
conflict between belief in Christ the Redeemer, and science/cosmology.
But I am not a Christian myself, so what do I know of the faith.

Beware of the man who works hard to learn something, learns it, and
finds himself no wiser than before ... He is full of murderous
resentment of people who are ignorant without having come by their
ignorance the hard way.
