Since about a year ago I developed unusual symptoms. I will welcome any
input. I have already been to my GP about this numerous times, and had many
blood tests done - all came up normal (sorry, I can't list them all here
right now). My next visit is on Wednesday.

What makes the main symptom strange is that I cannot find an adequate way to
describe it. It is a feeling in both my legs, often extending to the upper
part of my body. It feels like when I used to get an elevated temperature.
Wobbly or numb does not describe it, but it's sort of in that area. It is
often accompanied by tiredness, sleepiness, occasionally also slight nausea
and upset stomach. It all comes in waves (I am fine now). Sometimes it
starts in the early hours, sometimes after breakfast. Often having lunch or
dinner relieves it.

As well as that, since the time this started happening, I've been getting
very tired when exerting myself physically. As you might know, I used to
ride my bicycle a lot. I could easily romp in a 40 mile bike ride. Last time
I did that I was wiped out for two days. Had to go to bed afterwards -
something I had never done.

I am 62. I was diagnosed Type 2 15 years ago, and probably had diabetes more
than ten years before then. My HbA1c has been about 6 or below for the past
few years. Although, being on insulin, I do get the odd hypo (bg can go down
to 60), the feeling is not related to the hypos. I usually get this feeling
when my bg is normal or elevated - I measure frequently, often several times
a day.

As I said, I am not after a diagnosis. I would ideally like some idea what
to ask my doctor to test. Your input will be valuable, as always.

Just some things that have come up in family members over many years.
Aspirin 81mg a day to thin the blood a little.
Low Potassium levels - Are you taking a diuretic?
Along with other symptoms any numbness or tingling on one side of the
lips? Could be from diabetes
Electrocardiography (ECG or EKG)
Carotid Ultrasound Imaging
Ankle-Arm Blood Pressure Test
Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) ultrasonography in men age 65 to 75
years who have ever smoked. Some say everyone should be tested at
least once around those age brackets. No symptoms usually until you
die very quick...
Congestive heart failure/virus - Feel fairly good, but extra exertion
and you can be totally wiped out for a week.
