Following this logic, it's the normies who have a disease, not the

someone is healthier at 7.5, then why isn't there a push to get
*everyone* to that number, normies included? ?

7.5 is a balance point between diabetics dropping dead from low blood
sugar and diabetics dropping dead from kidney failure, heart, etc.
above 7.5..

The ADA is also very cautious in the general population of diabetics
dropping dead from low blood sugar so their recommendation is 7.

That is a myth and one that is spread in here all too often. The ADA
recommends that people with diabetes work to achieve numbers as close
to normal as possible without putting themselves at risk.

"without putting themselves at risk."

The reason the ADA doesn't go along with the 6.5/6.2 is mostly because
of the increase in low blood sugar mortality.

"The ADA goal is less than 7 percent. The closer your A1C is to the
normal range (less than 6 percent), the
lower your chances of complications."

It almost seems like the ADA has come up with a formula something like
1 diabetic that dies from low blood sugar is equal to 10 diabetics
that go blind, have kidney failure, or a mild heart attack. ?
Which seems to mean a weird theory that people would prefer to be
blind instead of dead!

It only seems that way to those who either misunderstand or purposely
misrepresent the ADA's recommendations.

I can't seem to find this on http://www.diabetes.org/
"The ADA goal is less than 7 percent. The closer your A1C is to the
normal range (less than 6 percent), the lower your chances of
complications."
It seems to be mentioned in a lot of articles about myths and refers
back to the ADA, but that myth seems to have been removed from
http://www.diabetes.org/

I wonder if ADA has dropped the 6 percent because so many people were
dropping dead at 6.4 in that study that was stopped?
