Ouch! Damn! You've had creatine issues before, I seem to remember?
So maybe those results aren't far off previous readings? But I don't
remember you getting out-of-range cortisol previously, although
Susan's been suggesting it for years. 4 months sounds a long time to
wait...
Well, only after she said her endo suspected it based upon her
appearance. They NEVER suspect it, so I suspect she's quite florid,
actually. It causes runaway high blood glucose that can't be controlled
with
diet or standard medications. In fact, insulin can almost make it
worse in some cases, by lowering with cortisol binding globulin that
locks it up and keeps it from acting on tissues.
But with the slight elevation Julie reported, they'll probably blow
it off anyway and do nothing. :-(
Probably. But if this is the problem it could explain why the
insulin shot my BG sky high at first.
Its a shame you have to wait 4 months to discuss this and the creatinine.
