You are missing the point. Julie has said over and over again that
her posts are just rants, ramblings or statements. She has
repeatedly said she is not looking for advice. Michael has not
stated that he does or doesn't want advice. If he did say he didn't
want advice I know I would honour that.

Jan, I have learned that Julie doesn't want advice when she writes
something, so I don't give her any unless it is something in cooking
where she is asking. If peope are not long on this group, or are
intermittant, they may not be aware of Julies dislike of advice, so
may well offer it and get a surprise whe she replies. She does not
say she doesn't want advice every time she rants, which provides her
a much neede safety valve, but it makes it harder for those newly
arrived.

Julie, it might be a good idea for you to add such a comment when you
are sending us a heavy distress message as newer posters may well
think you are looking for aadvice.

That could be a possible solution if people don't know the history of the
group.

Something needs to be solved, and it isn't up to
newbees to search out the problematic long term
social dynamics of the group. Generally speaking
newbees should feel welcomed, not dumped on as has
been the case.

I know that I will never again respond to anything
Mrs. Bove has to say

The question is, are you going to continue to drag her name into
things like you have in this post? If you're going to make an
"announcement" that you're not going to respond to her, then it seems
only fair that you not mention her at all from the immunity of your
proclaimed banishment.

Did I squeeze your head?
