It has raisins in it. Raisins! Why in the world would they do that?

The essential flax seed bread, although also with raisins has more protein in it and I think more fiber. So a better thing still, but... Raisins? What are these people thinking?

I've been eating (almost only when my bg is low) a certain type of muesli mix which is listed as having a relatively small carb content. It always had a small amount of dried fruit mix, but then all of a sudden there were lots and lots of dried raisins - extremely sweet! The carb content was listed exactly the same, making me wonder how exactly that figure was arrived at.

Fortunately I found it asy to pick out the clumps of raisins and feed them to the dog. (my dog is not diabetic).

Are raisins safe for dogs? They are poisonous to cats.

I didn't know that. Our dog loved them. I didn't give her that many. Switched mueslis a while ago now.

Yes, grapes and raisins are toxic to both cats and dogs. You were fortunate--you probably did not give your dog enough raisins to do any harm, but it is best to completely avoid them (and also chocolate, onions, and a number of food items).
