Well, I'm not a doctor of anything, but both of my eye-lenses have
been
removed and replaced with permanent plastic contact lenses due to
cataract
surgery. I don't have any lenses to suck up water, or change shape
for
any
reason and I still have blurry vision from time to time traceable to
my
BG.
If the blurriness is not due to corneal swelling, then what?
The cornea is not the eye lens. The eye lens is an internal structure
that lies behind the cornea.
Pretty much anything swelling in the light path from cornea to retina
could cause misfocusing and blurred vision. For example if the aqueous
humour in the eye swelled up and caused an elongated myopic eyeball to
become more spherical it would cause blurred vision.
Since all the structures of the eye which have to pass light
transparently have much reduced blood supply compared to adjacent
opaque tissues they could all be affected by size changes resulting
from osmotic pressure differences arising from various kinds of BG
dynamic history.
I suspect some of the problems in these various disputes about BG and
blurring is that people (including some doctors) are being careless in
their terminology.

I've had three ophthalmologists tell me something different.
Who would you believe, them or someone without a medical degree on this
newsgroup, especially when they don't provide a cite to verify their
assertions?
Freckles.
Freckles, how dare you...don't you know that Professor Chris knows
more than the "careless" medical community? How could you not when he
tells people that in just about every post. Shame on you to question
his authority. :)
I'm still waiting for someone with a medical degree to contradict me
:-)

And you got your medical degree from...
I'm having a scientific discussion where what matters is logical
argument and evidence. You're having an authority trumping argument
where the person with the biggest certificate of expertise wins the
argument. That conveniently saves you having to do any learning or
thinking.
So to save you any further need to pay any attention to my
uncertificated speculations please note that I have absolutely no
medical or even biological qualifications whatsoever.
