Re: I was bad, bad, bad!

However, what is right for you is something that may not be what is
right for someone else. Is your doctor an endocrinologist who
specializes in diabetes? If not, it might be a good idea to make an
appointment with one, even if it's for a consultation of two. Diabetes
is a complicated disease and seeing a specialist makes sense.

You will get conflicting messages from different people, especially
those who run amateur diabetes blogsites. Finding a professional you
trust will pay big dividends for you in controlling your diabetes. You
are the one who must live with it 24/7 so you need to be informed and
proactive with treating it. IMO, that information can come from many
sources, but mentored by a professional who knows your personal
needs.

Thank you.

I agree...each case is individual. But having stopped by this
newsgroup gives me the impression that a lot of *guesswork* goes on.

I do the best I can. I eat small portions of *good* food and keep my
carbs to a minimum. I excercise. I gave up the blood-testing every few
hours because...well...I hate it. Period. Besides, I see no use for
it, if I am living my life with *good* standards (diet and excercise).
I feel great. The doctor says I'm doing well. What more can I ask for.
I don't WANT to be sick but I can't STOP the natural progression of
the disease...I can only slow it down.
