Julie, in New York, most public places have done away with hooks

The hooks have been lowered in most places here.

But that's because your doors are upside down!

BTW, are we blokes allowed to participate in this thread? If so,
blokes have the same problem with shopping bags, at least *this*
bloke
has.

I would imagine they do, even male shoppers need to use a cubicle
sometimes
:)

Male *shoppers*? We just carry the bags with the stuff which SWMBO has
bought! Don't try to tell me that Aussie sheilas are any different!

[Yes dear, I'll stop using the computer in a minute .... I mean
*rightaway*!]

What? I've never had a man carry my shopping bag.

Really? My hubby doesn't shop with me much, but when he does, he
definitely carries the bag to the car. If more than one bag, he unloads
from the cart into the car. I imagine that's why he doesn't shop with me
often. I miss the old days of pulling up with a carload of groceries and
honking for the kids to come and unload them. They always hated that, but
I guess the trade off is not having to buy all those groceries anymore.
:-)

I try not to have my husband along because he doesn't behave in stores. But
if he is there it is all I can do to get him to open the back of the van for
me. Then he gets in and invariably, I will have my knees up against the
back of the van while putting the bags in. Will I never learn? When he
gets in, the van drops about a foot, taking my kneecaps with it. He does
not usually take the bags into the house either. Unless of course I bought
something specifically for him. Then he will take that and only that.
