Not if you read the trials on post prandial dysmetabolism. They
have been around for years. A lot of people think that because
their lipid panels every few months look good then their arteries
must be healthy. Wrong. There is more than meets the eye here. The
association between cholesterol and CVD has been known for yonks
but it now seems that the answers to the association is incorrect.
I would thoroughly recommend you read up on it, particularly as you
are so worried about losing your sight. I think you will find that
the artery damage is a bigger risk and might come sooner than you
think.

I was under the impression that the so-called link between serum
cholesterol and cardiac/artery problems had now been thoroughly
debunked, it having been a "Well it certainly would make sense
that..." which made no sense when you actually looked at it. Like
fat making you fat.

You are correct but I am talking about the direct result of sat fat
(just as an example) on the endothelium.

You said, "The association between cholesterol and CVD has been known
for yonks..." That implies that it was a correct association. It
wasn't. Many people still think it was, so I want to be sure the word
gets out.

Association yes but I think it was how they got to the conclusion that is
wrong. I am not prepared to discount the association part but I definitely
don't believe how they got to the conclusion. i.e high cholesterol in the
blood leads to atherosclerosis. There is more and more evidence that it is
the actual inflammation process leading to endothelial damage that is the
cause of CAD not high cholesterol blood levels. And one of the causants
(amongst a few) is sat fat. So we are on the same wavelength here re the
cholesterol thing.
