Let's not demonize entire groups of folks, okay? There may be some diabetic political conservatives here (I know you're out there and your restraint is admirable, or I have you kill filed ;-D) who come for support, not bashing.

I posted the original post here naively figuring that there would be no one here who would want to defend Dick Armey. I was mistaken, and then angered that there was someone named Anon, who was willing to defend Dick. I don't doubt there are some conservatives here who are not willing to throw us all under the bus. I even voted for Barry Goldwater. I would again. There are conservatives and then there are conservatives.I will go back to T2.

I did not defend "Dick". In fact, I don't know enough about him to form an opinion, one way or the other. I was curious about a statement he was said to have made about "fat pigs". I researched and found the statement to be misquoted. I did then express my opinion on the subject, if you feel this was defending him, that's your opinion.

I am neither a Conservative or a Liberal. My beliefs fall on both sides of the ideological center. I dislike extremism, be it left or right.
