Not the ADA, Loretta, they're at odds with the AACE and the international diabetes community. This article claims that the ADA has abandoned target setting. Their last recommendation was less than 180 at two hours, and not to test until that late.

It says that the International Diabetes foundation recommends less than 135 at two hours, and the AACE recommends less than 140 at two hours.

You're smart to aim lower than that.

Bad for diabetics, but very good news for the sugar, candy, cereal and drug manufacturers the ADA is really looking out for:
