Way to go. IMHO it is so important to shift one's focus away from food
to other elements of friendship. The 4 seasons in one day sounds like
NZ.
I can "lose myself" in my hobbies, too, but it that doesn't do much
for my cardio. :-D Actually, exercise makes me really hungry. I
don't know how much of that is really physical, and how much is
mental. Seems to be getting worse, not better, as I get in better
shape. At least working on my other more sedentary hobbies doesn't do
that. :-D
IMHO what is essential is that you are able to share those activities
and not fall back on eating for bonding.
