Silver socks

Has anyone tried these? I bought a couple of pairs when we first moved back
to WA and paid a lot of money for them. Since I only got the two pair, I
wasn't wearing them every day so didn't get to tell if they really did
provide the anti-microbial properties they purported. But they were VERY
comfortable!

Recently when placing an order for some more of my compression hose online,
I saw some new ones that were cheaper and I got another 15% off so I ordered
three pairs.

I am going to try again to kill off this toenail fungus on the left foot.
The right foot remains clear! I saw an ad in the Farmer's Almanac for
something that I sent away for. Some herbs and also a tincture. Said to
get cheap apple cider vinegar (4 cups) and put it in a covered container the
size of your foot. They suggested a plastic shoe box. You put the herbs in
there. Not sure if you have to cook it first or what. My order hasn't
arrived yet. Then every night, you soak your foot or feet as the case may
be, for a few minutes. You just keep re-using the same stuff. I never
thought to use a lidded box! And I'm not sure what the herbs are. Could
well be that the vinegar itself is enough. I used vinegar soaks (cotton
pads soaked in vinegar) and urea cream to clear the right foot. The
tincture is for use with really tough cases. Says you can take it
internally and/or apply it externally. I will opt for externally.

Anyway... I am hoping if I can clear it, the silver socks will help keep it
from coming back. Of course I can only wear them at night because I wear
the compression hose during the day. The new ones I'm getting say they have
a mild compression to them so that too was an added benefit for me. There
are times when I have to get up in the morning and walk around or be up for
a while before I can put on my compression hose. I am hoping these will
help.
