This is very sad that I even have to make this post, but apparently I do
because of the mentality of some in this group.
No names mentioned.

I am NOT Reisa, RK or anyone else other than myself. My real name is
private. It's no ones business but my own. If
you think you are entitled to know my real name well sorry to tell you, you
aren't. Only my family is. I am NOT a female,
at least last time I checked. I have been a male since birth. I am a 55 yr
old man who was diagnosed in 1957 with Type 1
DM at the age of 3. I've used every type of insulin available including
Beef and Pork when they were available in the US.
I've used 22g needles, might have used larger but that is the size I recall
using when I learned to inject myself at age 10.
I've used a pump in the past as well.

I was born and raised in Central Ohio. My wife was born and raised in So.
California. We have been married for the
past 27yrs. I was married at 28 after both of us graduated from Graduate
school. Afterwards we moved to So. California
where my wife is from and that is where I set up my business that flurished
even after I retired. What my profession is again,
none of your business. I have owned my home in So. California since 1981
when I got married. We have 4 wonderful children.
My business is located on Pico Blvd, which is downtown in the heart of LA.
Which is why I use 'pico blvd' as my screenname.
Just as I have used it for the past 12yrs of being online.

Since both my wife and I are retired and our children are all grown and only
one still lives at home, we are able to vacation and visit with family
members any time we wish and for as long as we wish. Eight months ago my
sister was found to have a growth and since she was a single mother she
needed assistance with her two children that were still at home. My wife
suggested since we were able to go and stay with her for as long as she
needed. I agreed.

I can't help it if because my situation, area or whatever might sound
simular that you automatically jump on me claiming I am
someone else. How pathetic your tragic little lives must be. I've read this
group for over 11yrs now, actually since it was setup. I think I posted once
or twice but it was because of lack of time that I didn't participate back
then. As time went on and I had
more time I would see how some jumped on others because of the low carb wars
and I'm not a low carber so to save my
sanity I didn't post. Now that I have quite a bit of time on my hands I
hooked my laptop up to my sisters ISP to enjoy the
internet and perhaps participate in this group. Guess that isn't going to
be how it happens.

I WILL NOT sit by and be attacked for NO reason at all. I personally
wouldn't want to be associated with a bunch of
pathetic low lifes that thrive off of making others feel completely
unwelcomed. Well I will leave, no sweat off my nose.
I'll find somewhere else to share my years of diabetic experience.

To the lurkers who might read this. LEAVE NOW! run, don't walk to the
nearest new diabetic forum. If you post they
will only attack you as being someone you aren't. It's not all of them, but
it is a majority. Sadly, even when proven wrong
they don't have the decency to even apologize. That's what makes them so
pathetic.

Good luck and God bless.
pico blvd.

there was some similarities on the posting styles

sorry for the confusion, Pico, as no harm was intended

And thank you, Kate, for taking the high road. :)
