Re: Does insulin cause flatulence?

Since starting on insulin a month ago I have experienced what can
only be described as a "profound increase" in flatulence. My diet
hasn't really changed, I have always eaten sensibly, but my pancreas
decided it didn't want to work full time and now I'm stuck "sticking"
myself every day.

This is a really tiresome problem that starts a half hour after
injecting and lasts for several hours prompting coworkers to
complain. Its not like I'm pushing really hard to make the sound
echo off the wall, I try to be discreet but the odor is terrible and
I'm tired of it myself.

Any advice? Related experiences?

Wow! I have been taking insulin since April of '07. I have taken NPH,
Regular and Novolog (Aspart) kinds and I haven't noticed anything like
that. Nor have I heard of anybody complaining of this either. What kind
of insulin do you take?
