However, after three painful falls I'm sure there is a better way. At

find a way to strengthen my muscles.

Why are you falling? Do you need a better walker?

I am considering an exercise machine somewhat like a stationary walker
with pedals. Does anyone have expeience with this sort of item?

I have a gazelle; it's useful for a range of activities, and helped my
husband stay active when he had a bad back. Are you able to get to a
store and try some of the equipment out?
