More likely, as you both had similar dishes, the chef had
touched something spoiled and had transferred it to his meal
but not yours. The meat was probably not the culprit.

Actually, that is a fairly good point, Alan. Whatever it was, the meat
was delicious. I did not get sick, and my friend did...
