Last night I had friends over for a poker game. Everyone except me was
drinking. The hardest part about not drinking was the others taunting me
to "go ahead and have just one". I can remember smokers doing the same
thing to other smokers that were trying to quit.

Wow, I've had people do that to me with dessert, but never with
cigarettes when trying to quit. Also, maybe you should take a look at
these *friends* that would want you to drink knowing you are trying to
stay off the hootch. Maybe you're not used to seeing them when you're
sober and that was an eye opener?

These are old Navy buddies, we've been drinking together since Richard
Nixon was president. Once they get used to me drinking limeade with
splenda, they will find something else and someone else to harass.



I had a lady friend who had been a former drinker. She would order either
club soda with lime or tonic with lime. It looked like a real drink.

I had a cranberry juice with seltzer and a wedge of lime at an event a
few weeks ago. It was very tasty, I nursed it for an hour so didn't
spike, and it looked like some fancy drink.
