Hi Kate,

Overall, I agree with you. It's best to stay away from known hot-button

admittedly, I find some of the viewpoints enlightening when they are

I admit to finding the continued arguments with Kurt tiring--even
thought they are ON topic.

Not as tiring as I find them. It takes two to argue and a few here go
out of their way to argue with anything I post.

Then the subject line needs to be changed.

Easy to do.

Thanks for bringing up an important issue. We certainly don't want to
run off people who are here for help with diabetes--or to offer help
with diabetes.

I agree, Michelle. But one of the problems I see here is what that
"help" should be. I don't think anyone is served by bashing doctors
and the ADA. There have been some who are run off because of the one
sided approach to diabetes offered in this newsgroup. If someone
offers opposing suggestions they are pretty much shouted down. Whether
people want to admit it or not, there is a mob mentality that rules
this newsgroup and at times it is anything but supportive or helpful.

As far as Kate's call for discussion about OT. I agree with those that
say if it's clearly marked then people venturing in get what they came
for. Kind of like all the choices on television...don't like the
program, don't tune into the channel. :)
