Ah, yeah, G'day Alan,

I think you may have read more into Cheri's post than she actually wrote.
What you appear to infer is not necessarily her implication.
I didn't and don't see anything judgmental in Cheri's comment, all I read
is that she has never tested in public (never having had a need to) and not
knowing any reason why others might feel a need it.
If anything I would expect a possible flood of examples of why public
testing would be done, I think that lack of an alternative might be one.

2c in, JMO, YMMV.

Fair enough. I had hoped that we had moved on from there.

Ah, yeah, G'day Alan,

True, we have, altho' it may still come to back to bite either or both of
us when a new subsciber, or one of the posters with a longer turn-around
cycle than I do, picks it up again in May or June when it emerges from
their back-log. {;-)}

Regarding my Usenet posting cycle.
I download, then read and compose replies as merited - offline. I continue
to read messages and then delete any of my intended posts which I find to
be redundant when I find subsequent replies that address the issues I had
intended to address. When I go back online I post messages I have composed
possibly days earlier.

When I composed the message posted on 19/4 it was before many of the other
responses were posted but was not sent until I had read all the other
messages that were downloaded along with Cheri's initial post. This reply
is going out "live" as my connection keeps dropping out, is slow at present
but is still open as I type.

Cheers, Alan, T2, Australia.

Cheers back at ya'
