That's assuming they're actually recycling stuff. I am not alone in
fearing that the fact that the costs of recycling are resulting in
short cuts on the other end, after it's collected.

I wonder about that, too. I shred checks and other personal data and
put them in my recycle bin (as I've been told to do).

Here we can not put shredded paper in the recycle bin. It must be
contained in a paper bag and put in with the yard waste. I don't get
checks back. The bank retains them.

I'm talking about the checks that come in the mail, from credit card
companies.

Oh. I rarely get those.
