It sure would. His employment prospects would be about zero. Who
want someone who hacked girls to death even if the police couldn't
prove it. That is horrible.
Twenty years later they arrested he serial killer who was actually
guilty. He confessed after they got him for a different murder.
Twenty years of life blighted without compensation no doubt.
