Hi Quentin,
Actually came across this on a link that Robert posted about green tea.
It supports the idea of starving the cancer cells by depriving them of
glucose using a high fat diet. I know that given the dexamethasone, your
BGs are going to run high. However, I'm thinking that maybe if you can even
lower those numbers through diet deprivation or perhaps even insulin (if you
can convince your doctors) you can make life tougher for the cancer cells.
This is what happened to the people in the study.

This article didn't load properly for me, but I downloaded the pdf with no
problems.
Hi Michelle,
I'm certainly considering a ketogenic diet. At the moment I'm not
very good at it. Yesterday I prepared for breakfast using flax fibre
with berries and yoghurt. Flax fibre needs plenty of water. IIRC it
is six tablespoons of water to one of flax fibre. That seems about
right. If there isn't enough water then lumps will form. Worse the
fibre will take water from the gut and set solid. This morning I woke
up in the early hours and was glad to have my breakfast already
prepared. I wasn't tempted to take a weetbix for convenience.
However when I took my bg reading four hours later I discovered it was
about 10. (Average of two close readings) The only sensible
conclusion I could come to was I'd had a liver dump. The only
carbohydrate in the breakfast was the berries and they weren't likely
to last long. Sorry there weren't other readings.
Thanks,
