Howdy friends,

I have wonderful news. We had our annual physicals last Thursday and
my latest A1c is-- *DRUM ROLL PLEASE* -- 5.4. That is fabulous,
especially considering that awhile back a certain person in here said
I eat nothing but garbage.

Now for my second happy dance: Since October 6th, 2008 when they
drained nine liters of water from my abdomen I have lost -- *ANOTHER
DRUM ROLL PLEASE* -- seventy pounds and I feel wonderful. Other then
being on a low salt diet I am still eating the same so-called garbage
that I always have.

Now, would any of you care to join me in a happy dance? All are
welcome.

WTG Chuck. Was it just from the fluid being drained or have you also
reduced your calories?

And the 5.4% is worth celebrating over. Not sure who told you that you
ate garbage but I doubt that you do since you seem concerned with your
health and are an intelligent man. Personally I get tired of people
here who critcize other people's diets just because they don't eat the
same way.

Kurt

I asked the person to please tell me what they meant, but they have
not replied since flaming me.

I haven't consciously reduced calories, but I do not have as large an
appetite as I did before. When I feel satisfied I push the plate away.
For instance we ate at our favorite Mexican restaurant Sunday. I ate
about 2/3 of what was on my plate. At that point I felt very satisfied
so I pushed the plate away.
Please send list of 'garbage' that results in a 5.4 a1c :)

John

LOL
The same things that most people eat except I stay away from high
sugar content foods and watch my salt intake. Tomorrow I will indulge
in some of the raisin pie that Laurie is making today.
