Medscape is the only medical site I subscribe to, and am not too lazy to
scan through.

It's been a year since I received the last newsletter. I've gone into the
options and changed my email address from the Gmail, to my home Optusnet
one which I access via OE. It's still no good. Reading through their
instructions, it's likely that their newsletters are being flagged as
spam. I cannot understand exactly where I have to change any information
to be able to receive the newsletters. has anyone had experiences with
the same problem? Alternatively, does anyone know who in Medscape I can
contact about it?

By the way, I have no kill file on my OE. No newsletters have appeared in
my spam list in Gmail.
Hi hemyd,
I think that is caused by optus.I have a lot of trouble with that
provider. My daughter lives in Australia and I frequently send her
attachments like foto's or links to pages etc.Last year that suddenly was
nolonger possible. After much trouble I found out that optus radically
changed their policy. All the spam was too much trouble for them. They'r
filtering with the Spam Cop Black List and just delete anything with any
attachment plus any mail in a non-text format. They clearly did not read
the manual, they don't bother to also use a White List ... My ISP, one of
the best in Holland, is on the Spam Cop Black List because it's one of the
largest with a lot of friendly possibilities and thus a large number of
misuses :(

My solution was to create a Hotmail address both for myself and for my
daughter. What you could of course also do in your case is set up a RSS
feed in FeedDemon or even in your browser. Here is the feed for MedPage
Endocrinology which also has all the news for Diabetes:

G'day Gys,

I agree with you that it's an ISP spam filter, but my original address when
the newsletters stopped coming was a Gmail one. Perhaps both Optus and Gmail
have similar filtering.

Henry.

Henry, i use a yahoo a/c for Medscape

every so often they flag Medscape as spam, but i do get the e-mails

good luck
