When the nurse took my BP and blood, she did a BG test on a sample from
the drawn blood. The result was 131, which I disagreed with so she did it
a finger prick and tested again. The finger blood tested 127, almost the
same. I had not eaten anything except a cup of black coffee. I had tested
at home and was 99. Then I drove to the doctor's office, a 15 minute
drive. My BG had risen about 30 points in less than 30 minutes for no
reason at all, strange.
Not at all strange. If you don't eat, your liver dumps glucose. Then there
is the theory that caffeine or coffee raises BG.
The doctor told me I had lost 3 pounds since my last visit; I had expected
her to give me hell for gaining weight. I asked her that since I had lost
3 pounds, was I thin enough to take her out for a drink. She said I had to
loose 10 more pounds before I would be thin enough. I am on a diet now,
I'm going to hold her to in at my next 3 month appointment.
Okay...
I wont't get my labs back until the end of next week so I'm keeping my
fingers crossed.
Good luck!
