before dinner (once 8 oz, once 4 oz) and the next morning my fbgs were
slightly elevated.

Does beer cause this, or should I look for another cause (such as the
second corn cob I had for dinner last night?) :-)

BTW, I usually have a small glass of dry red wine before bedtime. Same

Hi Jay,

Did an experiment on myself awhile back and discovered low-carb beer
actually lowers my BG (while I'm drinking--didn't check the FBG), but
regular beer raises it. I can't predict what effect either of them would
have on your FBG, but wanted you to know there is a difference. Maybe the
info will help you sort it out.
