I really need help on this. Have just undergone a 24-hour urine test,
and have been told I have excessive calcium in the urine; I have two
"out of range" test results. One is 313, the other is 302. Have been
on lo-carb for a long time--alway had good kidney test figures. I have
been scheduled for a repeat screening in about two months and given a
diet which includes many more carbs than I know I can handle.
Medication: Metformin 500XR.2 x day; Starlix 120, 3 x day; Levemir,10
units, bedtime. A1c 6.6.
I am not looking for a diagnosis -- but I know absolutely nothing on
this subject, and am trying to learn as much as I can to get my list of
questions ready for my next visit to the Endo, which is still approx. 2
months away.
Thanks in advance for any input.
Maxi
All I can offer is: last year after lithotripsy for a kidney stone, the
doc told me to restrict dairy, cut out tea and have lots of lemon juice
with my liquids.
