Re: I made it through day 1 and starting on day 2 with a 90 fbg

Hey Billie,

Glad to hear you are feeling well enough to start slaying that BG dragon!
Although you forgot one reading yesterday, your other readings sound pretty
good. While I know you didn't like the 165 reading, at least it's a heck of
a lot better than 300. ;-)

Go Billie, go!

My fasting this morning, 8/10, is 90 at 6:00 a.m. with a clean slate
before me. Now, how can I mess it up?!?!?!

It has been hard for me to get my bg below 300, and keep it there
regardless of what I did. That's about to change!! For this month I am
being very strict. I have changed my meter, and am back to testing,
testing, testing, the rewards of feeling better due to the IVIG
treatments! I can write fairly well so that I can read it, and that means
I can keep my log.

I only had one test out of bounds yesterday, and that was a 165 bg an hour
after breakfast (should have been no higher than 140). I just now
realized I forgot to write down my numbers for my salad (taco) last night,
and that is probably because I was not feeling well, and I see that this
is going to be a real problem for me. For instance, yesterday I was okay
and went to get my hair done, but it was so long that I was feeling bad,
and in pain by the time I left. I *did* do my thing to bolus with my
pump, but see now that I did not write it down, and that was my last food
of the day. That is going to have to be a priority to try to remember to
do each time every day.

Jim has been diligent to find low-carb in some things, and reading the
label on other things. Then there is going to be our week of eating out
in Jonesboro during my IVIG treatments each month. That is on top of the
lunch/dinner I get, provided by the hospital. Jim eats in the dining
room. They have really good food! Ummm..... toooo bad! Unfortunately,
some things are going to have to change.

Billie
