insulin dose, you must "eat to the insulin". It is more efficient to
tailor the insulin dose to the food. Also, being allowed to inject
correction doses would get those highs down.

Good luck with your control, keep bugging your medical team about those

What are correction doses? My BG is too high about 90% of the time now
and
it's sooo frustrating. The insulin I am injecting is *not* bringing it
down.



you calculate your premeal dose based on what you are about to eat.
You take that dose then eat. 2 hours later you test again and your BG
is high, you calculate how much to take based on your current BG only.

I wonder why they aren't having me do that then. OTOH, I think the amount I
am injecting at meals is still wrong. If it were right, I wouldn't
consistently have a problem.

Just curious... How much do you inject per serving of carbs? Serving being
15g.
