Lizzy (who is OK really:-) is a little nervous that asd may

Hmmm - sounds like a challenge :P

Love to see you.

Pretend you don't know me or Trink or PP (nah - they'd pick
it up:-)

The change in the three years since I went there has been
fascinating when I search back through old posts. It's not
obvious day to day, but when I arrived I was one of very few
voices suggesting lower carbs, and the only one promoting
Jennifer's advice and politely challenging the ADA dietary
guidelines. I went as a challenge, I stayed because I felt I
was making a difference. My blog grew out of the need to
archive standard replies for the newbies there, similar to
the way Jennifer used to post her advice here.

I didn't want to stretch the envelope too far too quickly.
As Annette used to put it, keep chipping away. I was very
tentative at the start.

To be honest, I spend more time each day posting replies,
mainly to the newbies, there than here. There are a lot more
newbies. But I don't forget my roots; mhd and asd taught me
more about diabetes than any other source.

Now, if a newby arrives and mentions they got high-carb
advice from their dietician or doctor I can sit back and
watch the "what a load of rubbish" chorus; I don't even have
to say it (but I usually do anyway:-)

I feel pretty good about that. I could leave there tomorrow
and the message will continue.

Cheers, Alan, T2, Australia.
