We have 2 pigs currently, a pair of brothers. One is fat; his
brother has lost a LOT of weight recently, and is drinking an
astounding amount of water, so I took it to the vet today. She had
to get out the reference books - but is pretty sure that it's got
diabetes! I'm to catch some urine and use a diastix on it... they
have the same renal threshold and bg values as we do!

Do a bg blood test :) Gotta be easier than catching wee!


Well, I did think about it - but it takes so long for them to stop
bleeding if I catch flesh when I trim nails that I'm chickening out!
Besides - where??? :P


They test cat's ears don't they? Their little feet then? :)
