Google groups isn't a newsreader and if you ask me, it's a poor way to view
things here. I use Outlook Express to view. Some here would not like that
but it works for me. Gives me the ability to killfile people I don't want
to read.

I just googled Outlook Express and it might as well be Greek I just
won't comment on the spam anymore as it appears I am the only person
seeing it. I hope you are doing O.K. I come in peace truly.

Just curious but... What do you use for your e-mail? I am not very computer literate and if I can figure out how to use OE, you can too.

Just my opinion, but Outlook Express is great. It really isn't all that hard to work with. Of course you need to download all the newsgroups first, and you may need to talk to your ISP to get a little help with that part, because you have to put in your news server address. Then you subscribe to the ones you want. Once you have done that, it is merely a matter of working with the layout so things appear the way you want them to appear. It is quite intuitive and easy to work with. I figured it out myself, so it can't be all that hard.
