I got a little bored with diabetes, so I am going to have my thyroid
removed
tomorrow. A month or so ago, a biopsy showed a few nodules with cancer
cells
in them. Thanks to bj and Alan S, I have subscribed to a couple of
thyroid
lists which are slightly more hectic than asd.

As I have said, if it weren't for the honor, I would have declined. But
that
is probably not a good idea. I do not expect to be in the hospital for
more
than a day, so I will be keeping tabs on you all.

And yes, I am really nervous.

Well, bummer TaniO!! This is not fair. But.... you and I know that life
doesn't play fair, don't we? I will be MOST anxious to hear how things
go. I have had three thyroid nodules since 1977, and to the best of my
knowledge they are still non-cancerous. Is the thyroid lists the
newsgroup or a Yahoo one? I was subscribed to the newsgroup for a while
on my other computer but have not set it up on this one, simply to reduce
the amount of reading available to me at this time. Here, MG, and Prosate
cancer are the only things I am reading now.

I know you will not see this until it is all over, but I am thinking about
you.

Billie

There's a newsgroup named alt.support.thyroid. I haven't checked if
it's worth reading.
