The are also viruses out there for the other 2. I know for a fact that there is an anti-virus program available for Linux. So this statement is meaningless.

The only "virus" programs that I've ever seen for any *nix are to search for them on stuff being served to MS bunnies.

Irfanview will do that in under 5 minutes, so you were apparently using the wrong tool. Irfanview is also free, so this point is moot.
