Re: Problem People

Since all this is is another thread about negativity & one poster's opinions
on all that is wrong with most here, why isn't it marked as either OT or
META? It's not about diabetes. It's about the newsgroup & about the people
one poster chooses to slam or praise, so it should be marked to reflect
that.

Every rational person knows value of this group for diabetics.

A few are lost souls set back, stuck to their computer
and nit pick at everyone but their favorite clique.

Diabetes does cause mental illness.

Do you have a cite for this? Or is this just your uninformed opinion?

My life would have
been very different if this plague had not short circuited
my life. The problems with employment and insurance is
enough. I hear the word "stupid" too often

To be honest, I do get offended by some that forget
the purpose of this group. So much here is personal
trivia with no purpose.

Remember when I push the off button you are gone.
Then I have to deal with the real world. I cannot turn
it off

I try to be nice to all normal people. Like Dr. Chung, I
have no problem with him. I have my own beliefs
and he does not affect them. My belief says I need
to be fair with him.

Our society has the right to stop people from doing
harm and maybe put then away.

I see very few where that remedy applies.

I do get very upset but I look back and see where I
was before I found MHD. Think I will stay and just
try to frustrate off base people.

And praise the good people. Not enough of that here.

Today a Houston Policeman is preparing my front porch
for painting. He is not a bragger but he is serious
about his religion and practices it.

I come away from here with a few baiters, and
watch him, I do get a better view of the world.

I am going to talk to him now.

i love it

Chung answers your posts with the header 'convicted friend Guy wrote:'
and you LIKE HIM?

ok, so who are these 'problem people' in the 'clique'?

You notice you get no answer.

Chung is no problem to me. Frankly a lot of other hit at me. I know
who I am and what I achieved in this world so i am not concerned about
what many think. When I see a long term outstanding poster hit a me,
I stop and think.

Dr. Chung is posting in a legit manner and I think his eat less is
good.

The Ch*ng posts off-topic and in appropriately cross-posts. He also does NOT
post supportively in ASD to ASDers, a support newsgroup. The cross-posting
is an egregious error. Do you honestly believe that adding in alt.christ.net
equates to posting in a legit manner?! Remember your Usenetiquette, please.
That kind of cross-posting is exactly wrong & against Usenetiquette. To say
that what is incorrect is correct is to try to turn the world on its head.

I am very unconcerned about any religion unless they try to
impose it on me or use it in a way to take advantage of me.

That is exactly what he tries to do: impose his view of Christianity on
others in the way he posts & his lack of topicality & his erroneous
cross-posting.

We have an obligation to make life more palatable and
to give credit or blame were indicated.

I can agree with this.

Good posters have give good recommendations on
Dr Chung.

IMO, good posters filter the Ch*ng out. But, if they are against filtering,
then at the very least, good posters should ignore any of his off-topic
unsupportive posts. If they find some posts he makes to be topical & not
overtly unsupportive, then, at the very least they should cut out the
inappropriate cross-posts, indicate that they are doing so & beseech &
implore him to stop that cross-posting. If after all of that, they continue
to post to him, IMO they are just giving attention to someone who is not
even remotely trying to be a part of the community & it's on their head as
much as on his.

Very few normal people come here. Be tolerant and
then be proud of your self.

You set yourself up to judge people by saying that very few normal people
come here & then turn around & hypocritically call on people to be tolerant
& then proud!! If you were being tolerant you would not judge that few
normal people come here.
