Not very damned confusing to me. You put folks on a high carb diet and
medicate the hell out of them and what happens . . .
I've read that article four times and I don't see anywhere where they talk about
diet. What are you referring to?
IMO, when the average participant is 62 yrs old and also has a heart condition,
why is it such a surprise that this population has more heart attacks?
especially because.............
The stress alone for someone in this category could cause a heart attack.
For my first two years after being diagnosed I worked really hard to get my
numbers normal. They went up from 117 to 125. I just could not do it anymore,
so I took a more lax attitude. I stopped testing so many times/day. In general
I only do fasting now. I upped my carb intake (it was so low, I got sick). And
now my BG are around 107. It was the stress of trying to follow this advice of
this group to the letter. But, I'm only a pre-diabetic and the stress of trying
to lower my numbers in an intense manner made everything worse.
Isn't this obvious?

A lot of broad generalisations there. Would you care to
clarify a few terms in detail:
For my first two years after being diagnosed I worked really hard to get my
numbers normal.
Exactly how?
It was the stress of trying to follow this advice of
this group to the letter.
Exactly which advice?
