I don't take Avapro..but I took linsinopril and got the cough..kept hubby up
all night:) My twin brother was put on it last year and developed the cough.
They put me on Benazepril and I developed a Serum rash...they decided to
take me off of all Ace Inhibitors. Then they put me on ARB and I developed
shortness of breath so was taken off of that one too.

Anyone here taken Avapro for high blood pressure? Report of your
experience
with it?
I was on propranolol for years. Changed to lisinopril after T2DM
diagnosis.
Now we are trying me out on samples of Avapro to see if my cough is
isolated
from my other symptoms & possibly caused by the lisinopril.
She said approximately 10% of people have the cough side effect to
lisinopril. Sounds like me, right there with the 10% minority.
My partner suggested a study of the people who have 'those rare' side
effects on multiple drugs! I said the drug companies wouldn't want to know
that info & my doc agreed that there had to be some money in it or it
would
not get done! We ended my appt. on an ironic laugh.
