The goal of any diabetic should be to have non diabetic numbers no
complications assosiated with the diseas as much as possible.
It is well known that damage to the body happens to some over 120 and others
higher but we all know non diabetic rarely go over that number.
So i strive to keep myself as close as i can to non diabetic ranges with as
minumal medication as possible..they way i do it is diet and exercise.
I have learend this is possible if i eat more nutritious non spiking foods
and minimal amounts of those that rise me such as bannas and potatos and
many proccessed foods.

Hope that helps..

I don't understand this to "low carb" or not to "low carb" controversy.
I eat potatoes, short grain white rice or pasta in amounts that I am
used to and I test over 13. I cut back on those foods while maintaning
the amounts of other veg and meat and I rarely break 11. I am closing
in on 10 lbs weight loss. Where is the draw back?

Hi all,
How do you convert the 10 or 11 in the other numbers. Tonight, about
3-4 hours ago, my number was 221, and then an hour later it was 210
and then it was 197 and now, four hours later it is 150. I feel like
hell, my head is pounding and I am sooooo tired. What would 220 be
converted? I think over here they want my number between 70 and 140. I
am rarely at 140, that would be on a day I didn't eat much. My doctor
hasn't put me on any medicines so it is strickty food only and I am
really struggling with this. I haven't been on here in a while as it
seems to go up no matter what I eat and I am frustrated and I feel
like I am totally failing at this and it sucks to feel like that.
Anyway, how do you convert the number? How do you know if you need to
be on medicine? What is the medicine like? Any side effects? I am
really scared, to be honest, and just don't know what to expect. But,
if I am headed that way, I should get prepared. Please don't be too
harsh as I feel like hell and am kind of down right now. :(
