I get really annoyed with the 'real foods' argument. I see people using it
as a reason they avoid 'artificial sweeteners' such as Splenda and
Nutrasweet. Then I see people using it as a reason they avoid 'sugar
alcohols'. Once again, I don't find that 'one size fits all' but maybe some
people do.
no one sane is avoiding splenda and nutrasweet due to any of the
nutter theories like the ones posted by rich murray et al.
The people I'm speaking of simply insist that they'd rather have 'real food'
or not have it at all. So, they disdain those artificial sweeteners as not
'real food'. I don't think any of them are diabetic.
Then why discuss it here?
It was only one part of what I had to say, yet it was a part that fit into
what I wanted to say. Yes, Virginia, it is true; rants can include both
diabetic and non-diabetic aspects to them.
