When I asked my doctor if it was true that some foods could raise your
metabolism, the only food that he said was true of that was cinnamon and
told me to put it on my oatmeal in the morning. So I will be very
interested to see what you find out :)

I now only cook steel cut oats. I also found that cooking it in the slow
cooker for a few hours
is the worst way for me. I now cook it on the stove top until it looks
something like rice.
I also put a touch of cinnamon in my coffee.
