Hello friends,
Well, I am now able to walk (gingerly and with care), and I actually
went to court for a trial today, which luckily I won.... Still a
little tender and stiff, but I think I shall survive, after all.
Yesterday, they changed and adjusted my meds. I am off the colchicine
and the indomethacin for the time being, as well as that diuretic I
was taking for the hypertension. Now, I am on lisinopril (20mg) and
allopurinol (to prevent recurrences of gout). The final opinion of my
doc was that the hydrochlorothiazide, together with my diabetic
dietary constraints, combined to dramatically elevate my uric acid
level, thus causing an acute gout attack.
Now, I just have to take it easy a little longer, until I get used to
the new regime of meds.... At the moment, I am feeling a little weak
and dizzy, so I am taking some time off this afternoon to rest.
Thank you all for the caring support you have shown.... It has meant a
lot.
Will, T2
Glad to hear you're healing Will. Feel better soon.
BTW, I tried the Lindeman's Bin 50 you recommended. Very good...a
little drier than the Yellow Tail. I can't really decide which I like
better, so I'll just have to drink both :oD
