| Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I am new to this group. I am a T2
| diabetic. I am on Novolog and Lantus. My sugars seem to be out of
| control regardless of what I do. I am still working on the meds. I
| have taken too much (not fun) and not enough. I have lost 100 lbs
| since I found out I was diabetic. I currently weigh 252 lbs. I can't
| seem to get any less than that for some reason. Anyway, I am here to
| see what other people are going through and suggestions. Hope all is
| well with everyone.

Welcome Philip... sorry you had to join us. Word of warning, ignore
the post who claims to be a "dr" my little toe has more sanity. Firstly,
Congrats on the weight loss! Much continued success until you get to
your goal weight. Other then that.. since you're a T2, you don't mention
that you take any anti-IR medication, ie: metformin. If you don't know,
it is a good medication for heart protection as well as it's been known
to help some lose weight. Another suggestion, you might talk to others
here that take Byetta and then talk to your doctor about taking it as
well.
Many of the T2's here state that it's helped them to lose weight as well
as
stablize their glucose. I'm a T1, so I can't really help you much in that
department... Just remember no matter what anyone might give you for
advice here, please always check with your medical team before changing
anything. While it might be right or wrong, what often works for one,
doesn't work for another.... and none of us here are medical professionals
nor do we know of your past medical history.
With that... again welcome and if you have any questions just ask away I'm
sure someone will know the answer. :P
