Me TOO! Why, when Liptor made me have symptoms, did I (& cardio man ) think
that another statin would be any different. Altho lovastatin did take
longer for the effects to kick in.

Mine was also a study of one. But in my case I never got past the first
pill each time. I had the most severe muscle pain and weakness within a
couple of hours of the pill. My legs wouldn't carry me and my arms
couldn't lift anything. Stupidly I tried a few different brands of statin.

I went into 20 mg/ lipitor knowing the dangers. After 8 days
I developed flu like symptoms and quit.
8 weeks later, 11days ago, I started 20 mg simvastatin. Today
the flu like symptoms have appeared. headache, general achiness,
and a scratchy throat.
When I call the doc in the am and tell him the simvastatins are
in the trash, he will agree with my decision just like last time.
Study of 1 :-)
cheers
Paul
